Feminist indy publisher Crone Girls has brought together a diverse array of independent authors to explore and celebrate the autonomy, power, and anger of women facing a world that would deny them what is theirs by right. A disturbingly delightful speculative fiction collection. I enjoyed every single story in it; however, the shining star was And Out Come the Wolves. Which brings me to the cover: it took me awhile to realize it, but the abstract shape I saw is actually the profile of a wolf's head with the outline of a soldier and rifle inside. There are moral issues as well. Rick doesn't want to be working for MONIKER again; a young woman is freed from the sex trade but doesn't want to return home, where she may have been sold, so where can she go?… (altro)
