Topical humour from over 100 years ago. Some is easily understood and funny - sometimes for different reasons than the author intended. The futuristic office where the executive makes a video call to check his bank balance and the banker finds the page in his ledger and holds it up to the screen, is hilarious. Some of it is obscure - I had heard of the Comstock laws but needed a bit of research to "get" the Comstock joke. And some is simply tedious - the repetitious variations on the "falling out of the airplane" theme weren't that funny the first time. Nevertheless a fascinating little book.… (altro)
