1411 Roger Martin du Gard, by Catharine Savage (read 3 Oct 1976) It was in February 1963 that I read Roger Martin du Gard's epic study The Thibaults--a work which moved me profoundly and which I have often thought of. This account of du Gard's life and work is well done. He was born in 1881, received the Nobel Prize in 1937, and died Aug 22, 1958.
