Marking as unfinished at around 40%. This reads as very middle grade rather than YA, which is not inherently a bad thing by any means. I love middle grade books! But I wanted to mention it because it's not what I expected at all. I tried to enjoy it since I really love middle grade fantasy and I was hoping for some Gail Carson Levine vibes. But it's just kind of boring and predictable with flat characters.
