This is one of the Army booklets to go with Field of Glory, covering the late Middle Ages. There are lists for twenty-seven armies including the Anglo-Scottish-Welsh wars, the Hundred Years War, the Swiss-Imperial-Burgundian conflicts and more. Like the rules they are lavishly illustrated and provide some background to the armies themselves. The army lists are nicely broken down to a basic list, and then a more complete list. For about the same cost as a DBM army list, it is the nicest I've ever seen (though one does get fewer armies.)… (altro)

Disclaimer: my rating is based on the quality of the rules. I HAVE NOT YET PLAYED THE GAME. So it is not based on how well the rules play. I hope to play them in the next 30 days or so.

These are a costly set of rules at $35. However the the physical quality of them makes them that much more appealing. Lots of color maps, diagrams, and fabulous Osprey color art are included. These are not easy rules, but much more comprehensible than the Barkerese of DBM or DBA. Included are some sample army lists, but for the most part these will be add ons at an extra cost. These are rules with some unfamiliar terms, some additional turn phases, and they desperately need a quick play chart to earn that extra half star. That said, I can't wait to give them a try.… (altro)
