Gordon Blitz

Harmonic Dissonance is a short novel that examines the lives of two married couples, one straight and the other gay. Using music as a focal point for both couples a crisis soon envelopes them as each couple loses a partner to a care facility after their mental facilities deteriorate from Alzheimer's. The story is told in flashbacks as the partners attempt to cope with the devastating changes caused by the disease. The story is true to life as it portrays how men afflicted with Alzheimer's may become hypersexual and sometimes violent. The characters are well-developed and believable.… (altro)
