I probably should have read the first four books in the series before this one - nonetheless I found this an enjoyable action packed read. Zoe is a strong main character. Secret societies, intrigue and a message are all included.
Make no mistake this is an adult read and I must add warnings of scenes of rape, violence and strong language.
Strong writing style and a great plot earn this read 5 stars.
I'm going back to read the other books in order!

I love espionage, CIA stories and action packed plots, but usually in movie form. That means
I don't read enough of them. Gordon Bickerstaff's books could easily one day show up on the big screen. Zoe might be one of my favourite leads of the year!

Lately, I have been singling out authors in different genres whose books I enjoy enough to read their whole library. Bickerstaff is hands down one to the leaders in thriller/suspense. I love a story with a slow burn and he delivers every time!

I don't know how much research went into the writing of the book, but the author manages to make every detail plausible and explainable.
Some parts were a bit wordy, but all in all an interesting read with a bio-chemist main character. How many books can say that?
