Pirate Pete finds a treasure map and follows it to reveal a chest that holds a surprise.

The highlight of this early reader book are Chapman's illustrations. Only recommended for libraries with large early-reader collections.

Hippo and his friends look for the perfect vacation location with lots of repetition to reinforce the reading skills of emerging readers. The art is pleasing but lacks the jokey details that reward an observant child.
