It seems impossible for a guide book to make a palace duller than it is. I was wrong; this book did. Perhaps it is the tiny font size, perhaps it is simply way too much background information, and most definitely not enough or too small photos for this tremendously impressive site in person but not so well presented in this book. The physical size is a disservice being a narrow book; the photos never had a chance to speak a thousand words. Regardless, it does have some redeeming value having photos that are off-limits area and treasures depicted in lighting that can never be captured in person. Well, I bought it.… (altro)
