Maybe 3-1/2 stars. I am enjoying this post apocalyptic/time travelling series. I think a lot of thought was put into how the world would function after global thermonuclear war and woman killing plague. There were several different groups described with several different reactions to the disaster.

The relationship aspect was not as well developed. Most of the story was from the POV of the heroine. I liked her with her pink hair and toughness. Some of her reactions at first were a little too knee jerk. After you have realized that your world has come to an end and you are stuck in this world, you might think before you blow off the guy who has volunteered to help you adjust. She sort of went overboard on the I'm going to make it on my own and get a job etc. She did settle down and become more rational though. The hero on the other hand was not well developed at all. He was supposed to be very alpha but came across as more of a namby pamby. There was almost nothing from his POV. There relationship did not really develop, change or grow at all. It was just there. In fact they spent almost no time together at all except a few times when they had sex.

So I'm enjoying this series for the post apocalyptic aspect and will keep reading for that.

I enjoyed this 3rd installment of the After the Crash series. I liked Tami, the heroine. She was strong and knowledgeable. The hero, Tracker, was a good character too. The author is doing a good job differentiating all of the heroes and heroines in this series. Everyone is distinct with their own personalities and motivations.

The least appealing aspect of this volume was actually some of the secondary characters. Several of the women are acting like jerks to the men to the level of not even being polite which I think any ninny could tell might not be in their best interests considering the world they have crashed in.… (altro)

This one was a pretty nice addition to the series while not being my favorite. Here again the hero and heroine are distinct from the other heroes and heroines in this series. I am very pleased with that aspect of the series. Here the hero was not my favorite. He was pretty young about 24 I think and he acted that way. Not to mention that he was the most "of his times" hero so far in the series.

This is post apocalyptic. This guy has grown up in a world where women are few and are guarded closely. He is a virgin and is shocked that he ends up with a woman who had been a world famous model in the before times so he has a problem with the lifestyle that she lived before. There are extant magazines with her in them. I think that conflict would have been enough without the paranormal element that was added in also. The world building is pretty rich already and there is the whole Wolf Clan thing that I've bought into. The Lakota background for that gives it some credibility but the cat thing came out of left field and I found it unnecessary.

Still I enjoyed it.

This was another solid addition to the series. Here again we have a couple that are native to this time period. Mel is a ranch girl who has grown up in this culture and allows herself to be sold to the bride fights in order to have money for her brothers to pay a ransom for their mom. I liked the places that the plot went and I was a bit surprised so that was good. One thing I didn't like was the secondary character of Sara. Just wanted to slap her upside the head. I think her reactions were not so much spoiled (although she was definitely that) but really almost crazy.

Okay now that I've read the entire series not counting the between the books short stories, I have a few general comments.

For the most part I am enjoying the post apocalyptic world building. I'm a big fan of that genre. I like the diversity of having some communities insist that all women be prostitutes so that everyone has a chance to dip their wicks and some communities hold the bride fights and some really revere the women. All that seems reasonable and I'm happy that much thought was put into it. On the other hand, I keep trying to wrap my mind around the numbers involved. If most of the women were killed out by the Woman Killer Plague in 2018, how are there so many men around? Men are stated as being 100 to 1. How did so few women have so many boy children? Just a thought and I keep tying to stop and puzzle it out which annoys me.

Still sign me up for the next one and I may get around to the between the numbers shorts although typically I don't enjoy those as much in a series.
