Lock is the 5th book in the Hell's Handlers MC: Florida chapter by Lilly Atlas. It's a single-dad romance about addiction, redemption, and acceptance. I suggest reading Jinx before reading this one to have the full story.
Lock's world came falling down around him with the death of his twin sister and being left with her newborn son they were able to save. When he struggles with her death and learning to be a father he turns to the same drugs that killed his sister. In Jinx Lock was given an intervention from the club and went to rehab. Lock fights to be the father he needs to be and to prove himself worthy of his brothers. Brenna is a woman caught up in a bad situation thanks to her no good ex-fiance. He owed money to the club and when he couldn't pay he gave them Brenna. Luckily the club turns out not to be what she thought and they keep her safe instead of using her like she expected. Lock feels an instant connection to her and steps up feeling the need to protect her. When Brenna gets herself in trouble trying to help the club Lock has to save her before it's too late.
I gave this a 4-star rating and a 3-spicy rating. Lock's road to recovery was inspiring and heartwarming. You could feel the struggle he went through every day not to fall back into the numb darkness. Brenna was the perfect woman to be by his side to help remind him why he had to fight and stay strong. The way the club pulled together around him as a family and understood his addiction without holding it against him showed just how much of a family unit they are.

Another story where the h resists the H as much as possible....gets old fast! Not a bad story but could have been a great story if Toni wasn't so hung up on her past mistakes.

Thoughts on top of thoughts, with a side of thoughts, and thoughts for dessert. I know a book is doomed when I can't stand the h! I just can't enjoy reading a story where the h makes the new, good guy in her life pay for ALL of the ex-assholes mistakes.

I have read every Lilly Atlas book that's been released and I have enjoyed each other and Jinx is no different. Jinx is the 4th book in Lilly's Hells Handlers MC: Florida Chapter series. It had everything I'd come to expect from her books. Personable characters, a strong female heroine, and a storyline that could be a reality for some. And we got to read about other members of the club that we've read about before and it was nice to catch up with them.
This book is about Jinx and Harper. Jinx decided when he lost his high school sweetheart and his professional sports opportunity he would never fall for a woman again. He was a hit-it-and-leave-it, type of guy. If they even hinted at being a clinger he wanted nothing to do with them that is until he met Harper and just felt this strong pull towards her. Harper has a lot of understandable issues when it comes to trusting people, especially men. And I don't blame her 1 bit. Her at the time boyfriend betrayed her, she spent 7 years in jail starting at 18, and she's been all alone. When she got out of prison she left home and relocated to Florida and applied for a counseling job. The ladies of the Hells Handlers are opening a woman's shelter and Harper was interviewed to be the counselor. That is how she met Jinx. She tried with everything she had to avoid him and to tell herself she couldn't trust him until she got wrapped up in the club's issues. It doesn't help that since Lock took custody of his nephew when his twin sister died that he's been on a downward spiral causing trouble for himself and the club. Unfortunately, Harper gets caught in the crossfire a couple of times. Jinx vows he will protect her and as he's watching over her they get to know each other more. I commend Harper for the bravery she found inside herself to give life a chance. Not just with Jinx but on everything in life that she missed out on by being put away so young. Does Jinx change his mind and claim her? What are the consequences going to be for Lock? Has Harper finally found the family she's always needed with the Handlers?
I gave this book a 4-star rating and a 4-spicy rating. I loved how this story went. Harper is someone I admire for the strength to actually have a life after getting out instead of stumbling and ending up back inside as most do. Jinx actually stepped up as a man and not just the club manwhore and it made me proud of him. Harper is definitely worth all the effort Jinx is putting into their "friendship." I'm hoping that Lock's book is next because I really need to know what happens to him!

All she wanted was to find her blood family and finally have a connection with someone after the hell her life has been. She found it and got more than she bargained for.
Lily Atlas wrote another 5 star book with Frost from her Hell's Handlers MC Florida Chapter series. This book is about Jack aka Frost who is a prospect for the Hell's Handlers MC. Frost is an introvert and doesn't trust anyone. He's been with the club over 6 months and has yet to open up to them about anything even though Jinx is constantly trying. Frost has a painful past much like his Prez Curly and fits in well with the band of outcasts. When he was given the name Frost it fit until he finally started to thaw out when a lady with her own issues showed up and rocked his world.
That lady would be Rachel. Rachel is much like Frost and stays to herself, not trusting anyone especially big alpha males like the ones she finds at the Hell's Handlers clubhouse. Rachel has a past in the foster care system full of abuse and it's made her put up walls that are nearly impossible to break down. When Frost saves her from an unfortunate situation when she shows up at the club she feels an instant connection to him and relies on him to keep her safe. She came to the club because she has some business with the Prez Curly and starts learning so much about herself. Even though she was adopted as a teenager she's never felt a real connection to any person. "I don't understand how you got your nickname," she whispered. "There isn't anything frosty about you. You're fire." Rachel says at one point and she couldn't be more spot on. She is the flame to Frost's fire and he does indeed start to melt just like her.
This book isn't like most of the rest of the series, meaning there's no big enemy they are fighting or going to war with. Yes some conflict comes up with another MC but it's handled very quickly. Something that should have rocked Rachel's world and sent her running just made her realize how much stronger she's gotten since being with the club. This Christmas she's gotten everything that she's wished her whole life for and I can't wait to see what's more to come.

Okay but pretty predictable. Extra unnecessary sex scenes that slowed down the flow of the story. Otherwise well written with a realistic MC feel.

Wow

This was a pretty intense ride. I felt sorry for Shell who had to try to do all this stuff on her own, which isn't easy for anyone to do.

Sassy

I like this one. I don't think it's my favorite in the series, but it's still got and intense and the chemistry between Zach and Toni is explosive.

I love a good MC story, and Lilly Atlas definitely delivered. I thought that this was a really good story, with a really good balance of action, love, and downtime. It was easy to get wrapped up in it and race through to the end.

Chloe was victimized by some total jackholes. Rocket came in and rescued her, but not before they told her that she had Hell's Handlers to blame for her attack. And guess what colors Rocket was wearing when he came to rescue her?

I was so impressed with Chloe. She was strong AF. I mean, she was pretty much a BAMF. On the very worst day of her life, she managed to turn into steel, and got on a motorcycle to be taken to the hospital. I know, for sure, that I wouldn't have been able to do the same thing. Then, she figured out her own way to get some of her own back. I get why she did things the way that she did. I also totally understand why she did it, because even a little bit of control is better than no control. As the story went on, I just became more and more impressed with her strength and resiliance.

I like Rocket. I think that he was a victim too. Not as much as Chloe was, and in totally different ways, but it happened. And it totally changed his view of himself, I think. He's a good man, even if he does bad things, he does them for the right reason. He's very protective of anyone he sees as his, and that includes all of the Hell's Handlers, as well as all of their ol' ladies. He's willing to go to ridiculous extremes to take care of them, and I think that's great.

All in all, a fantastic story that I couldn't put down.

Jigsaw and Izzy are the best! I love how BAMF Izzy is. She's definitely fierce and Jigsaw is perfect for her.

DESCRIPTION, NOT REVIEW: Life, death, trauma, healing; the Hell’s Handlers have been through it all over the past year. They’ve conquered old enemies, acquired new ones, and struggled through devastating upheavals. So far, they’ve come out on top, knocking down challenges by focusing on one essential ideal: family above all. With Copper at the helm, the Handlers are a patchwork family of bikers who will fight to the death for what they’ve created.

And after all they’ve survived over the past three hundred and sixty-five days, the Handlers are ready to lay down their weapons, pick up their drinks, and coast through the holidays with nothing but joy in mind. But as often happens with life in an MC, Christmas takes a back seat to club drama.

As the year rolls to a close, the men and women of the club will experience new life, new chapters in love, and plenty of new beginnings. But not everything is sparkly and bright as dangerous enemies threaten the tight-knit group of rough and rowdy bikers. Will twenty-nineteen end in tragedy, or will the club once again emerge victorious in time to find a little joy for the holidays?

DESCRIPTION, NOT REVIEW: After ten years away, Marcie finally ventures back to where she grew up. She isn’t in town for twenty-four hours when she crosses paths with Hook and Striker, the two boys who kept her safe and happy as a young girl. Only they aren’t boys anymore. They are fully grown, muscular, alpha men. Members of the No Prisoners Motorcycle Club. All through her teenage years, Marcie’s heart belonged to Hook. Not that he ever seemed to notice. And it appears that as an adult, not much has changed with regard to her feelings toward the sexy biker. But a bossy, alpha man is not what independent Marcie is looking for.

The moment Hook lays eyes on Marcie, it’s as though the last ten years apart never existed. Back when she was off limits, he wanted her, and it doesn’t take long before he realizes he still wants her. Marcie’s changed, though. She’s no longer a frightened teenager in need of a haven. Now she’s a beautiful, confident woman, and a bit too independent. Will Hook be able to convince Marcie a life with him wouldn’t stifle her freedom? Their relationship is tested when Marcie clings to her hard-won life and when an aspect of that life threatens not only their future together but their safety as well.

DESCRIPTION, NOT REVIEW: At the height of power, one ruthless misstep crumbles Snake’s kingdom in an instant. Beaten within inches of his life, betrayed by his own club, and left for dead, he has nothing remaining to focus on but healing and revenge.

Physical Therapist, Amanda, thinks she’s seen it all. Then, she meets Nick, a broken man who has sustained the most severe beating she’s ever encountered. Surly, brooding, and angry, he should be a nightmare patient. But under the rough exterior lies a man determined to overcome his devastating injuries, a quality Amanda can’t help but be drawn to. Plus, he’s ridiculously attractive, to the point she finds she can’t stay away.

Women like Amanda—kind, sweet, intelligent, independent, respectable—don’t exist in Snake’s world. When she offers him a place to live after his hospital stay, he can’t turn her down. The more time they spend together, the more torn he becomes between two realities: a gruesome MC world full of lies, betrayal, and hatred, or a life with Amanda that promises healing and peace.

As Snake helps Amanda through some troubling times, passion flares. For once, he actually cares about a woman and it’s enough to make him question everything. After leading a life as a dedicated outlaw, is it too late to change? And if not, is he willing to leave his vendetta behind?

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. DID NOT disappoint. This was a great book. Izzy and Jigsaw were complicated, damaged people who found love in each other. They accepted each other as they were and found true happiness. When they finally got together it was hot!! They danced around each other in the beginning- struggling to accept what was happening. I also love all the supporting and past characters in the series. Mav is hysterical and I cannot wait for Shelli and Copper's book. Great read with lots of drama that keeps you on edge. Definitely recommend and now have to go back and rad all the previous books in the series.

I received and ARC in exchange for an honest review. This book was worth the wait!!!! There was so much build up for Copper and Shell's book and Lilly didn't disappoint. I loved the way Shell loved Copper and was there for him since the beginning in ways he didn't even know. This book had tons of action and funny visits from Mav and the rest of the girls!! When Shell and Copper finally get together there are fireworks!Great story ...I read it over to cover. Great addition to the series!!

Marcie has returned to her home town to bury her mom. She isn't alone, her "lazy-ass boyfriend" is with her. While she's there she bumps into two of her buddies from way back, two deliciously handsome guys, Hook and Striker now members of an MC, they use to look out for her when she needed it most. She had a crush on Hook, but was to young, but not now, oh no! she's plenty old enough.
Marcie is the last person Hook expected to see, Striker and he had had to protected her from her mom's sleazy john's, Marcie had been a beauty when she was young, but now, Wow! she's dynamite. But she's not alone, she's got a "dick" for a boyfriend with her and he's got to go before Hook can make his move.
I loved this book! Hook and Striker were great characters, they still felt the need to stand up and protect Marcie.
Will Marcie get what she has been yearning for from Hook: and will it be as hot, and steamy as she's always imagined?
Hook was a tough alpha MC rider, he only thought of Marcie's joy and safety, but can he persuade Marcie to stay here for ever, does she want too?
A very entertaining story which has interesting characters and a well developed plot line.
I highly recommend this book!
