This book is really good for primary because of the focus on alphabet and easily readable pages. This book is about a young girl who is struggling to remember how to spell her name and wonders why she can't have an easier name. I would recommend this book in a classroom to talk with students about diversity and also to work with younger students on ways to remember how to spell their name.

This book would be good for primary and intermediate level aged kids. This book is written by a Grammy award winner Ashanti who tells a story about a girl's name that is always pronounced incorrectly. But at the end she learns that she has a unique name that she should be proud of. This book would be good to use in the classroom to talk about names about the beginning of the school year.

This book is a very empowering story about a girl named Ashanti who thinks her name is bad, and too difficult to say and spell. She then comes home and asks her mom why she named her such a difficult name and the mom tells her a beautiful and empowering story about why she named her Ashanti.

GREAT story of being proud about one's name/heritage.
