Kindle Alexander

I'm a bit confused. This was described in one place as being "a part" of the "Tattoos and Ties" series and in another as being book #3 in the series. This is all true in that it features at least one of the characters from the other books...but it seems to be set in an entirely different time frame. The horrible old man that died in the last book is still alive in this one...and still being a jerk of the highest order. I loved the two main characters in the first books but couldn't relate to any of these guys and I hated the DOJ woman. The story was well written, I just couldn't become invested in it to any extent, or to the lead character, even though he was a brother to one of the characters that I liked. I'll give it 3 stars, but it was nothing like the others.… (altro)

This one, book 2 in the trilogy starts where book 1, Havoc, left off. You really need to read the first one or you'll never understand the dynamic taking place between Alex and Keyes. The Keyes's lingering doubt that is always at the forefront of any happiness they are so desperate to hold on to. They are so different in every way that you have to know that it has to be love that's meant to that will keep them together and equal a happy ever. But this time something bigger than themselves nearly destroys all they have built. Their bond is beyond unique. as in the first book, I waited for the proverbial shoe to drop as lines began to get muddied and their worlds were heading to collide. It was just a matter of time, but what happens is anything but the utter destruction that Keyes expected. The way Alec loves this man is nothing except beautiful. He is there to remove any doubt of their deep connection. The truth is that they should never have worked...but they do. They are still keeping their relationship a secret from Keye's motorcycle club, and Alex's office...but that may not last long. A LOT takes place in this story...they adopt a cute little dog, Nash,...they talk about marriage and a family, and Keyes makes one of the biggest mistakes of his life and nearly cost them everything. Order together with Havoc, is a pair that is full of emotion that creates a journey that will warm your heart. I look forward to more from these characters in the last book in the trilogy, Chaos, that only the very talented, Kindle Alexander, can create.… (altro)

Motorcycle clubs are not one of my favorite subjects, but this one was fairly mild, and it was a good group of guys...well except for Keye's father. Luckly, he didn't have much time in the story except at the very first. Alec is an upcoming DA whose father has high aspirations for him to become a judge. He doesn't want any part of it. Why it just didn't tell his father to get lost was beyond me. This is only the first book in the series so maybe he will grow a backbone in the next book. Keyes is a biker. Together they are pretty explosive. I really liked Keyes. I liked him as a person and his attitude toward life in general. Their chemistry is explosive creating enough sparks to burn down the entire town. They each thought they were too different, but actually they aren't all that different except in their bank accounts. They do start to communicate more by the half-way point of the story. It took me a little while to get into this book...even though I was I was more than invested in Alec and Keyes story. Alec's friend can use some work...but maybe he'll drop him by the second book. We can only hope. The story is told from a duel POV, which is easy to read. I like getting into both characters heads. I really hope book 2 has more of the answers to Alec and Keys relationship and what Alec intends to do about a position that he never wanted. I believe there is 3 or 4 ore books in the series and I am anxiously waiting for the climax. Glad I picked it up. As I said it's not something I would normally read.… (altro)
