The opening paragraph says much about the subject of this biography, an authorised book for about ten lines until the price wasnt right for Alex. Class. A superbly conroversial talent in a sport not really known for its controversy. Oh how the snooker authorities would love another like him in the circuit now to raise its flagging popularity with the masses again. One of the main players of the boom in the sport in the 80's and some magical TV moments to boot, (not at the table). Shame to see him fall by the wayside like so many of the infamous sporting legends, but lets be honest who wants to read about someone who's life is all sweetness and shite?. ( )
