Bandit's owner Michelle gets a new cat named Mitzy. Mitzy really annoys Bandit by licking out of his bowl and eating his food. Bandit fights back and then gets in trouble. He runs away but then goes back when it starts raining. He scratches and scratches and barks at the door but Michelle doesn't seem to her him. He's about had it and he is all soggy and wet. Mitzy hears him and meows at the door to get Michelle's attention. After that Bandit reluctantly accepts her. In this sequel to Bandit, Bandit gets a new housemate, a playful little kitten. This is a nice story with pretty illustrations. The book should be useful for a child adjusting to a new baby brother or sister. The story is not preachy, but makes the point that a new addition to the family can be fun. While the author does understand feline behavior and attitudes, the way Mitzy is introduced to Bandit is not best practice! For that, see 10 Tips to bringing a New Kitten Home http://animal.discovery.com/pets/10-tips-for-bringing-a-new-kitten-home.htm . When bandit gets a new kitten she is not too happy but when the kitten saves her she opens to the idea of someone new in her life. A cute story on how to always give someone a chance, which is great for a child starting school. I like the art style of the book as it is unique for picture books as it has split frames and close-ups like a graphic novel. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
When Michelle brings home a new kitten, her cat Bandit is not at all pleased to share his home and water dish, and absolutely refuses to share his favorite toy mouse. Non sono state trovate descrizioni di biblioteche |

I recently adopted a little kitten, and my older cat is not fond of her. I felt like this book illustrated my home life perfectly, right down to the new kitten playing with the older cat's favorite furry mouse toy. The author and illustrator might as well have studied my house when writing and illustrating this book. In addition to it ringing true, it was a delightful read, with sweet illustrations. ( )
