This book is intended for early readers. This book would be great for first and second graders.

This book is a riddle. It goes through many things that Silly Milly likes and does not like. Each page gives one thing she likes and one thing that she doesn't like. The goal is to find out what each one of the things has in common.

This book would be good for a read aloud. Students would be able to think about the riddle and the book. I could create an activity and the students could do something with this riddle or for older grades they could come up with their own riddles. ( )

“Silly Milly” was written by Wendy Cheyette Lewison. Silly Milly is so silly because Silly Milly showers, she has umbrellas, and she drinks juice. I love this book because I am so silly and the title is “Silly Milly”. I think this story is funny because Silly Milly and her dog like green. I feel like it is funny. I loved this unique, playful Children’s book. First, the book is engaging for the readers as they try to guess why Mrs. Milly likes the things she does. The lines are filled with rhymes and riddles that appeal to all ages and make the story fun and enjoyable to read. “She likes green. She does not like red. She likes butter. She does not like bread. She likes seeds. She does not like flowers.” In addition, the illustrations enhance the text. My favorite part of the illustrations is the color. The bright colors are engaging and attractive to look at. You can see the playful humor in each picture and deign. However, the sentences are simple and there is little to no variety within each, although it may appeal to young ages. Finally, the story ends saying, “Mrs. Milly is so silly. Can you tell why?” It’s up to the readers to solve the riddle of why Mrs. Willy likes certain words, and does not like some others. ( )

You, likely, are somewhat closer to the small person you are reading to than I am. You might make it through this book as many as 4-5 times before throwing it out the window.

It's pretty fun on the first read through. ( )
