It is fall and juicy things are growing in Mr. Putter's backyard--apples, tomatoes, and pears. Mr. Putter dreams of all the juicy things he loves to eat, but most of all, he dreams of pear jelly. There's only one problem--cranky legs keep him from climbing up to pick the pears. His ingenious solution will have young readers cheering him on.

This is one of our family favorites. It's a cute story about a man named Mr. Putter who has a situation he needs to resolve. It's fall and Mr. Putter is dreaming of pear jelly - his favorite since childhood. But when he climbs the tree to pick the pears he finds he can't because of his'cranky legs'. His witty solution is sure to make both children and adults of any age, laugh. ( )

“Mr. Putter & Tabby Pick the Pears” was written by Cynthia Rylant. It’s about an old man, named Mr. Putter, trying to pick pears but he has cranky legs. He had an idea. This book makes me feel happy, because Mr. Putter is trying his best. Tabby and Zeke are my favorite characters. When Zeke and Mrs. Teaberry came by they were funny. A good book that could used for educational or entertaining purposes. It talks about seasons, fruits, and night/day time with great illustrations.
