2.Write the summary of the book

New Delhi is a very large city in Northern India. New Delih is situated on the Yamuna River, which is the main source of drinking water for the people of the city. Fifty million gallons of industrial waste are thrown into the Yamuna River every single day. Because of the terrible condition of the river, the 14 million people in and around New Delih must get their water from the community water tracks, which deriver water to the towns where the people live. The people of New Delhi need about one billion gallons of water every day. At the moment, they are surviving on only 25 percent of that and the water shortage is so serious.
Some leaders seem to think that the answer lies in a series of new dams. However, many people strongly disagree with this proposal.
One environmentalist, Rajendra Singh, says the answer to India's water shortage may be found in a group of villages in the Alwar area of Rajasthan. Singh encourages villagers to use an ancient method to collect water for the area.
Today, the villages that was dry and lifeless is green and healty. Because of two small dams, there's enough water for everyone.

3. Write your feeling about the book in details.

"Thousands of millions of rupees have already been invested in water policy and big dams. How do you explain villagers with no water?"(P.11)

It seemed there is no answer to solve the water shortage, however, one environmentalist contributed and solved. Then, he used an ancient method to collect more water. Ancient people were so smart, according the result. In additon, we should learn and rethink how to deal with and receive the nature resource.

4. "These trucks deliver water to the town where people live."(P.6)

On TV, sometimes we see this kind of situation when a big disaster happened. However, in Delhi, it's the same as usual in daily life. Although we usually pass time without thinking, or don't have to be serious for the water shortage, but there are many countries and many people who suffer from the situation. What can we do to change this situation? ( )
