Love, love, love Elizabeth Gilbert. This was the perfect book for me right now. I devoured it in three or for sittings. She is so funny and clear and sharp. ( )
On your deathbed you'll thank me you didnt waste 72 hours on this non-stop complaining drivel.
It's impossible for me to read this author without thinking three things. 1) #whitewomenwoes: what would women who are struggling to make ends meet think of her constant complaining about everything 2) Is her publisher pressuring her to just churn out any old schlock knowing that her audience will suck it up no matter how much drivel it is, and finally 3) why would people take such devoted comfort and advice from a person who seems to be faking it the whole time given the disconnect between the messages in her book and the storyline of her real life?
