Greed, Rage, and Love Gone Wrong Murder in Minnesota, by Bruce Rubenstein (read 7 Aug 2013) This book tells of ten crimes, usually murders, which occurred in or have a connection to Minnesota. There are no footnotes and no legal citations, so though many of the cases resulted in decisions by appellate courts the opinions of which were probably published, the book does not give that information. This is annoying, and could have been remedied so easily. But the author is not a lawyer so though he spent lots of time checking records he never gives a citation to any case. One of the cases discussed is called "The Difference" and tells of Russell Lund, Jr., who in August 1992 is said to have killed his wife and E. Kevin Kelly. The wife was killed because she apparently refused to settle the pending divorce action for four million dollars. Kevin, who for a time was a lawyer with our firm and had had an office right next to mine, was killed because he was present when Mrs. Lund was killed. Mr. Lund committed suicide by putting a plastic bag over his head on Oct 30, 1992, while he was out of jail on twelve million dollars bond. The other nine cases discussed also are of interest, but did not engage my interest as much as the one which involved a man I knew. ( ) nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
