Not to be confused with the same publisher's smaller, more focused annual volumes for poets, children's authors, scriptwriters etc. Good for the generalist and the curious.
I've also found that while publisher's websites and online market lists may have more up-to-date information, this book lists things I did not think of (regional contests, major publishers who have changed their policies on whether you need an agent to send a manuscript to them, literary magazines that take genre fiction, etc.) Highly recommended and good for a few years (so long as you double-check websites.)
