I loved this book! I really like the Animal Ark specials, when Mandy is away from home and dealing with very different animals then the usual dog/cat/horse/etc.

This book was also a bit different in that Mandy really couldn't do much to help the porpoise. Usually she has her magical way with the animals and helps them and figures things out that no one else would... But this time she was fairly helpless. She couldn't cuddle the wild animal, of course, and she couldn't really "fix" the problem, just try to make things as easy for the injured animal as possible until nature (ie, the storm) took over. She did figure out that singing to the porpoise helped calm it, which was a brilliant idea. ( )
