My First Farm Touch and Feel: by Anne Millard

This is an adorable picture book that has actual places in the pictures for children to touch. The parts to touch are in all different sizes and textures so they do feel realistic (to a young child anyway). The book shows all types of farm animals, including ducks, sheep, and a sheep dog. The book also shows fruits and vegetables grown on a farm such as plums, pumpkins, and corn. Finally, there are pictures of farm equipment such as tractors and four-wheelers. Even the equipment has places to touch that feel like tires.

I find this book very enjoyable. The fact that the textures are different for everything touchable is wonderful, it seems very realistic. I believe young children would love this book, and the few words it has to label the pictures are large and easy to read.

I would definitely recommend this book… I enjoyed looking at it as an adult! ( )
