Kelly Carmichael is wrongfully accused of kidnapping, so in order to clear herself she skips bail and heads to the small town of Indigo Springs in Pennsylvania where she believes the real kidnapper, a woman named Mandy who set her up, to be. Once there, Kelly meets forest ranger Chase Bradford who just so happens to be searching for the same woman as Kelly. It seems that Mandy left her son with Chase when they were dating, and then vanished. Now Chase wants to find Mandy so he can adopt young Toby. Kelly and Chase team up in their search for Mandy although Kelly doesn’t reveal her real reason for searching for Mandy. What will Chase do when he finds out Kelly is a fugitive?

This was a very entertaining story that held my interest throughout. Both Kelly and Chase were likable characters and I couldn’t wait till they found Mandy and I was looking forward to their confrontation with her. Besides the romance between Kelly and Chase, I also enjoyed the secondary romance between Chase’s father and his ladyfriend, which was so sweet. The setting was lovely in the fictional small-town of Indigo Springs. A thoroughly enjoyable read. ( )
