This story is about how to make yourself happy. It gives you different ideas of how to be happy, like riding a bike or doing other things involving exercise. Another way it explains to you is if you get bullied, ask someone to help you out. It has to do with a lot of emotional feelings. This is a trade-book. The pictures throughout the story look like they were colored with colored pencils. The author uses a lot of vibrant colors which helps with the mood of the book. It is a book about being happy so you should use vibrant colors like the book does. They were very unrealistic pictures because their were bunnies and frogs talking and riding bikes. I would use this in a classroom if I ever were to discuss emotional health. I could explain that exercise is not only good for emotional health but physical as well. Being happy is very important, and all students should be happy most of the time. ( )

The book discusses the importance of making oneself happy instead looking for it outside of the self. Take care of yourself & "think happy!". Also touches on being friendly, calm, and speaking up for yourself. ( )

Think Happy is a book about all the emotions a person can have and how you can cheer yourself up and cheer others up as well.

I liked this book because it has a happy uplifting message and I would use this in my teaching to show students how to be happy.

The age group this book is appropriate for would be 5-8 years old and the theme is to just be yourself and always be happy.
