Why on earth is the rabbit wearing high heels?! ( )

I have mixed feelings about this story. The format of the book is confusing. The physical book is divided in half, and once you open the front cover it splits into two stories, one above the other. However, at certain parts of the story, the two books merge as one, and the story is on one full page, then it goes back to the split pages, telling different stories. I could not figure out whether or not the stories were supposed to be read at the same time, switching from book to book, or whether they are supposed to be read one after the other. The story flows nicer when they are read at the same time, but it makes it hard to physically manage the book, because the pages are all over the place. The illustrations were bright and colorful, which definitely helped. The main message of this book is that anyone can be friends, even two people (in this case, animals) that are supposed to be enemies.
