This appears to be the fourth volume in the ‘Lydia’ series of spicy novels concerning a high-class courtesan of that name. In its descriptions of its heroine’s racy activities it is very reminiscent of Victorian/Edwardian literature in its genre, mostly reporting a sequence of encounters with men wearing little or no clothing, whose amorous attentions were intensely engaged and (indeed) reciprocated. The principal pitfall of this genre is that of repetition, simply ringing the inevitable changes in the ultimate act, and I found that this book failed to avoid this pitfall, despite some valiant attempts at costume fetishism, initiation rites, and a somewhat half-hearted introduction of bondage or ‘ligotage’. However, the story is well written and unconfusing, and will fulfil the stimulus expectations of many. ( ) nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
