Series Note: The third installment in the Kenner County Crime Unit series. Each book is written by a different author, but the ongoing story arc requires reading in order.
In this one, Griffin Vaughn and his new executive assistant, Sophie LaRue, are stranded at his estate during a blizzard and must work together to survive the elements as well as an assassin who has them in his sights.
This is the best in the series so far with its mix of office romance and a suspense plot thrown in for good measure. Sophie and Griffin have great chemistry and their relationship is entertaining once you put aside the rather unfortunate
Overall, Jessica Andersen’s contribution is a solid addition to the series, but it would be great if they got on with the investigation into the death of Julie Granger. Hopefully, the next author will advance this storyline more. ( )
