This book is a about a Grandmother who is blind explaining with excitement to her granddaughter Patty what is like to not be able to see. Grammie shares that she can imagine how things look by going into song. Grammie shares that she listens to her and makes a song from her memory. Frogs croaking on a mossy log with tadpoles resting on a lilypad. Descriptive touch words help to describe her puppy Pepper. A pointed nose with different colored hair down the middle of the back, slender legs, and floppy ears are how Pepper is described. Finally Marry Lou who is just a plain doll is still described as pretty because of her button eyes, nose, and her fake hair that needs dying . Clearly Patty’s Grammie is able to imagine by listening to the sounds and texture around her. I liked this book because Grammie’s songs brought her imagination to life with colorful and descriptive words that any child can relate to. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
