Roberta, or "Robbie" as she is known to her friends, breaks up with the boss's son after he cheats on her and is fired from the job as a result. Her friends invite her camping. Although she has never been camping before, they send her ahead with the pop-up camper and other supplies. Her friend Molly is supposed to arrive later that evening and Gwen and her twin brother are scheduled to arrive the next day. A ranger named Garrett sees Robbie struggling with setup and offers to help. Later he sees her struggling with the hammock and mentions he has one just like it. When Molly is unable to come that evening because of a problem with her Mom, she phones Gwen's brother Garrett to ask him to keep an eye on Robbie and let her know. Robbie's former fiancee Mike had only pretended to be a Christian and caused her to backslide. Although Garrett prays, she doesn't want to fall for another "pretend" Christian. She begins to see Garrett's faith is genuine and needless to say, we see Robbie falling for the ranger. This was the perfect "brain candy" I needed at the moment. I think the author could have wrapped the book up in a slightly different manner that would have been much more satisfying without changing the outcome which is always predictable in formulaic romances. It's not great literature, but for readers wanting a romance minus pre-marital sexual relations, this was a solid read. ( )
