This entire series is a wonderful way to learn history or teach it to adolescents. I find today's generations seem to recall more when they learn through other people (pop songs, celebrity gossip, etc.), so what better way to teach history than through someone else's perspective? Yes, "authentic" diaries would be "better", but would the language really hold the modern student's attention? Did the diary writer know what WOULD be important in the context of history? Probably not. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione

George thinks Mr McGinness and Mr Fysh are too cocky and too flaming young. But I reckon if you've been to war, flown flying machines and shot guns at other flying machines... then you can't be too young for anything. Jack McLaren's dream is to be an automobile mechanic. When his uncle offers him an apprenticeship in Longreach, Jack is soon on the first automobile ever to travel the Gult Track from Longreach to Katherine. The long trip to central Queensland heralds something new: the Queensland and Northern Territory Aerial Service is about to be born. Non sono state trovate descrizioni di biblioteche |
