It wasn't as humorous as I'd hoped, but it nevertheless had some very funny spots. All I can say is, "You better not mess with Santa. ( ) Well-suited for those who count Bad Santa and The Ref among their Christmas classics, this collection of letters from Santa shows how he really feels. Lashing out at kiddies who haven't been good at all, bootlickers attempting to curry favor and greedy goblins of all political stripes, adult fans of black humor are certain to find something to amuse. A comical look at what would happen if Santa finally snapped under the pressure and instead of bringing kids the presents that they asked for, instead delivered letters back telling these kids exactly what's on Santa's mind. This is not the milk-drinking, cookie-eating, Coca-Cola-guzzling Santa of our youths (one look at the cover will tell you that!). This is a jaded, blunt, angry Santa who is tired of being under-appreciated over the years. Both the letters from the kids as well as Santa's responses are presented here for your reading pleasure. With the kids letters on the left and Santa's on the right, the reader is given a first hand look at what Santa really thinks about the kids who write to him and about what they think they can get away with asking for. If you are looking for a book that is chockablock with high-class humor, you'll have to move right along passed this one; but if you are looking for something that is just downright funny and in many cases probably considered un-PC, this just might be the book for you. Santa gets letters from kids every year, but he never actually responds to them right? Wrong, apparently this year Santa decided to write back, and, well, he’s kinda mean. Anyway there are a few laughs, but it isn’t a “laugh out loud like a bowl full of jelly” kind of read. This is probably why no author took credit for this work and simply published it under Santa Claus. The only reason I mooched it was because it was a Library Thing recommendation, I can’t say I second this. Every once in a while, a little book comes along that you just can't resist. Santa Responds is just such a book. For decades, this jolly old Elf has been receiving letters from children throughout the world. Nice children, naughty children, snotty children and greedy children. This year, something happened to the nice old Claus, something just snapped inside. This year, Santa is going to write back, and wow....is he pissed! This book is filled with "letters" to Santa and Santa's hysterical replies. If Santa's responses don't make you laugh out loud, then you are a Grinch, or maybe an anti-Grinch. Some of Santa's responses include: Dear Paige, When did you turn into such a little bitch? Your friend, Santa This was the response to a two and half page demand letter sent by a particularly rotten little girl. Succinct and straightforward, Santa cuts through the conventions of society and really "tells it like it is". Which makes this reader respond..."Go Santa!!" Funny book....but keep it out of the hands of your youthful believers. It's waaaay to hard to explain this type of humor to them!! nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione

HTML:Ever wonder what Santa does with all those letters? (And all those cookies?) After a particularly long, cold night staring at nine smelly reindeer butts, the old man lets loose with the real answers to those stupid, whiny, hard-to-read letters from kids. Turns out, we really do get what we deserve. Dear Billy, Non sono state trovate descrizioni di biblioteche |
