Last installment for 2007. Also last issue entirely written by Chris, as I believe OEG becomes a multi-author anthology starting in '08. Accordingly, this issue forms the third (and entirely final!) part of the loose '07 trilogy, showing what became of Carl after his disappearance from London, and the odd and unusual stories he brushes up against in several outlying towns outside the metropolis. As the collection approaches its end, it pulls out a few references to stories from the previous volumes as well as picks up the pace, making for a thrilling, and (seemingly) terribly final end.

It will be interesting to see if the new approach to the '08 issues come off as successfully as these first three; Roberts has certainly set a high standard for them to live up to. ( )
