NCLA Review -Jeffrey Dean, founder of Jeffrey Dean Ministries, is an author and speaker who has partnered with Youth for Christ, Teen Serve Ministry, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and thousands of Boys and Girls Clubs. He knows today’s youth culture, and he understands the fears and pressures teens face today. Teenage boys are challenged to identify who they are so that they can see themselves as God sees them. He shows them, from the Bible, how to live their lives as the man God wants them to be, not the way contemporary culture tells them to be. For example, in the chapter “Don’t be a Dating Dork,” Dean writes, “With girls, things get complicated. Here’s how to simplify.” In subsequent chapters he deals with sex. “Every guy struggles with lust, but every guy doesn’t have to lose.” Using his gift of communicating the love of Jesus to teens, Dean gives practical “getting there” advice on how to grow toward manhood.
