I started reading this book but before I got to the end of the first chapter I realised that I couldn't go on. Honestly, it's hammy and ridiculous but in a bad way rather than a good way, like when you buy a horror dvd from poundstretcher and everything about it is stupid and terrible. I haven't yet worked out whether Graham McNeill is a good writer who has lots of bad days, or a bad writer who has had a couple of good days, or if the Games Workshop Miniatures Industrial Complex is responsible and he's just a cipher for translating their ideas and values and his goodness or badness depends entirely on those ideas and values.
