In my opinion, the book "Germany" is a great book for young readers. One thing that I really liked about this book was that is was very simple and easy to read for a K-2 student, but it still had a table of contents, index, and captions just like a more complex informational book might have. This introduces young reader to the style of informational books which I think is why this one in particular is so beneficial. I also liked how this book covers a wide variety of topics about Germany, while still keeping the information simple and to the point. Some of the topics include: "Where Is Germany?," "The German Landscape," "Farming," "German Food," and "Visiting Germany," along with many others. I also like how the text is large on each page and there is only one photograph on each page as well, making the captions stand out and the text easier to focus on while allowing the picture to be large and show great detail. The big idea of this book was to teach readers about the Germany and its culture. ( )
