A young boys starts his day playing outside with his dog. Instead of playing with humans he is joined by many different animals. The animals and little boy are hopping and skipping everywhere singing "follow the leader" ,until they finally come in contact with a tiger. At this point I did not know what was going to happen between the tiger and little boy and other animals. They invited him to play, but only under one condition. The tiger had to be the leader and he could not turn around. They continued to play, no friends left behind. They skipped and hopped , singing all the way back to the little boys house dropping all the other animals off while on the way. The little boy snuck off inside with his dog, leaving the tiger dancing, prancing, and singing alone. I guess the little boy had enough fun for the day. Some people or things can be scary at first but never judge a books by its cover. Get to know people and give them time to be themselves and show you what is on the inside. Many younger kids also think it is a privilege to be a line leader. ( )

A fun book about a young boy playing follow the leader with a bunch of unlikely animal friends and the many places they went. Not much to the book, but cute nonetheless. ( )

The book Follow the Leader is a cute little book of a young boy exploring the forests with many animals doing what the title says, playing follow the leader. The whole book is simply showing everywhere they went through the forests following the leader until they hear a noise from the trees. Out comes a tiger, who scares them. The tiger asks if he can join them and they all get together and decide he can. They continue following the leader all through the woods. The book was boring for me but then again I'm not a child. It was boring because it just repeated ".....follow the leader!" There was no conflict in the book. It is a very easy read. The illustrations in this book were really good. ( )

Follow the leader is a very nice book about exactly what the title says, following a the leader. The story follows a boy who is running through the woods with many different animals following him along the way while they sing a song. The book is relatively simple and low key, but also very nice illustrations. I think this is a book that many young children would enjoy because they could easily read and follow along with it. ( )
