A readable biography about a musical genius whose rise out of desperate poverty was bought at the price of merciless exercise. Suffering from a plethora of illnesses, financial necessity and greed, as well as social acclaim and revulsion, led to an itinerant lifestyle of concerts. His freakish exterior, his unorthodox technique and his wonderful sound made him into a legend and at the same time, prevented his burial in sacred earth for a long time (until his son paid of the endlessly greedy church). (2) (Gertraud Voss-Krueger) Non sono state trovate descrizioni di biblioteche |
