NCLA Review - Dr. David Jeremiah has written a book filled with advice and insights into the making of a family life that is centered on God. There are wise words on showing affection, respecting each child’s individuality, modeling positive behaviors, and setting limits while reminding parents that “our children belong to God—we are stewards of their souls for 20 years or so.” Each chapter contains Biblical examples and personal family experiences as well as questions for personal reflection and/or group discussion. This book is definitely written for two-parent Christian homes. Although there is one brief chapter for single parents, there is little help offered for this large segment of the population.
