This farce is a parody of 1930's low budget detective movies. The comedy ambitiously stages wild thrills and spills traditionally reserved for the screen: plane crashes, car chases, icy mountain cliffhangers, and sword fights. The story follows the kidnapping of an eccentric professor and his synthetic diamond formula by evil German masterminds. To track down her missing father, the professor's daughter engages the services of ace detective Hugh "Bullshot" Crummond unaware that he is a blundering idiot. Bullshot sets out to win the affections of this damsel-in-distress by rescuing her father, defeating his German archenemy and impressing everyone with his overblown mental and physical abilities.
