I had a terrible time deciding what to try first out of this book. Every recipe was perfectly balanced to be approachable while still appealingly fresh and delicious-sounding. The stories and references to other books broke up the recipes into easily readable chunks. Very much my style.

MY EYES, MY EYES!

Why include 7 different fonts, two different font colors, and 7 different font sizes on the same page! This book has major style issues.

How are the recipes, you ask? I will never know - I am too affected by nausea to judge objectively.

I've been cooking from this since I got it and it's a very good cookbook. so far eveything has been delicous and easy. It has the same charm and excitement that Lynn Rosetto Kasper conveys on her radio show The Splendid Table.

Go for the chicken curry and the summer tart with greens, red onion, and grapes. (
