He has problems eating, putting his clothes on, and using the bathroom. He likes to sing and dance and he is home schooled. Tom has a brother that he plays with a lot, he is just like every other kid. It's just a little harder for him to process things with his brain. ( ) Tom is a young boy who is mentally handicapped. The book takes through a typical day with Tom. The author provides reasoning for the way Tom does things and I think that is great. The book itself is out dated because it was written in the 70s, but the information is still appropriate. I would use this book when teaching about disabilities. It provides great information about the exceptionality. I love that the book used real photographs of Tom and his family because it gives you a better sense of who he is. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
