I wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered this book through Interlibrary Loan, but I'm glad I've gotten to see it. Cleverly done, sort of like grown-up cartoons. ( ) (Alistair) I bought this book, essentially, because I'd been reading the Indexed blog, the original site of these examinations of this and that with Venn diagrams, graphs, and other such, all on the medium of the standard 5x8 index card. Because it's made of all kinds of awesome, and I wanted to support it. It helped, of course, that this tour through some of Indexed's - Jessica Hagy's - greatest hits is also a work of both great humor and, oh, yes, thought-provoking relational looks at life. Recommended for those with math and humor at their command. ( http://weblog.siliconcerebrate.com/cerebrate/2008/09/indexed_jessica_hagy.html ) (Amy) This is a tiny little book. It is, in fact, 5x7, just like an index card. It's full of charts, graphs, and Venn diagrams, and is witty and hilarious and good for anyone willing to work a little for the funny. Recommended to anyone of a geeky persuasion, and probably quite a chunk of Everyone Else, too.
