Having sat through so many "traditional" stories that are empty dead rituals invoking none of the contemporary enjoyment, awe mystery etc, this was an eyeopener for me. Taking traditional stories and blending them with real local life to make them live again for the audience. I was inspired to do the same and have drawn on traditional Persian and Celtic stories to provide the structure and power for a retelling that draws on American and English crime social history(1860'-1930s) ( )
