Gabe Townsend has a lot of nerve to show up after seven years and book in to her B and B. It hadn't been easy for Kendall Van Allen to move on after her husband was killed. But she'd persevered, picking up the pieces, running a successful business and raising two girls on her own. She's put aside the guilt over her part in Carter's death. But she'll never forgive herself...or Gabe. And Gabe hasn't even told her the whole truth. But the more he's around Kendall and the children, the more he grows to love them and want what's best for them. Can he really tell them the truth? Non sono state trovate descrizioni di biblioteche |

Door County Series #1
When Kendall Van Allen opens the door of her B&B the last person she expects to be standing there is her dead husband’s best friend, Gabe Townsend. Widowed seven years before with two daughters, a cherry orchard business and the B&B to take care of she is stretched thin and very busy. Kendall and Gabe have a past history as friends...and perhaps a bit more. Whether or not the time is right for them to be together now is what is explored in this story. We also have a secondary romance between Kendall’s brother George and the woman he loves, Amy. This is a story with substance that includes migrant workers, friendships of the past, soccer and several secrets that come to light impacting more than one character in the book. I found myself intrigued by this introduction to the series and look forward to finding out if Dylan, the reporter, will find out who his father is in book two. I also want to find out what will happen in the lives of the couples met in this book as well as their children.
