This pamphlet is a combined effort of Che and Castro; the first part is a letter in defense of Socialism as the first step to Communism, the second part is a speech delivered by Fidel Castro on the twentieth anniversary of Che's death.

Ever want to learn why Socialism or Communism is a dead-end government? These two men contradict themselves. They equate capitalism to religion in an unfavorable light only to speak of Socialism/Communism as the "true way." On the one hand they attack capitalism by accusing the system of exploiting the worker as only desirous of a better wage, producing less to get more; the lazy capitalist worker only works eight hour days and spends his time in sloth and gluttony on his off hours, while the near-perfect man, in the eyes of Socialism produces the quota of two or three men while working 10, 12, or 14 hour days.

What struck me as interesting was Castro continually conducted his speech in the vein that Socialism has not been established. All the progress they (Castro and Che) might have made during Che's life has somehow been usurped. Great strides from the 50's are now gone, ruined by imperialism and corruption of capitalists. The speech regularly harangues the capitalist of monetary incentives and incentives in general; the socialist is a better human, his only incentive is a better society. The socialist can do more for less(at about half the cost, saving the state money).
