A partly entertaining book written by the knight Geoffroy de La Tour Landry, to his daughters. The book begins with a preface written by Geoffroy himself in 1371. With the help of two priests he found suitable passages in books from their own libraries, to explain how a good and pious woman should behave. Biblical references are interspersed with Geoffroy's own scabrous stories. It becomes an almost comical effect between the two extremes! From a historical standpoint, it is very interesting to get an insight into someone’s way of life in the 1300s. Geoffroy actually wrote a similar book to his sons - a book that unfortunately is disappeared.
