A fun and beautifully illustrated counting book that takes you on an adveture to get food with a group of mice. They find food and loose it and come across some stuggles to retain it. This book is as much about the adventure with the mice as it is about counting. It also takes you through some adding and subtracting and actually has questions in the story to include counting in the story.

This book doesn't just include counting, but it helps with addition and subtraction. I would recommend that adults talk children through this book, as the math prompts (for example, "How many pieces of food fell into the stream?") are difficult to spot on the illustrations. It's great for math though, because its engaging and visually interesting.
