I liked this book for several reasons, the first being the plot. It was very organized and separated life events by the year. For example, the chapter, Tuscumbia, Alabama 1886, this is the first life event where Helen finds out she is blind and deaf. Each page is loaded with information about how Helen pushed limits and learned how to communicate. The illustrations enhanced the story by allowing the reader to see what Helen Keller looks like. It also shows how long ago Helen Keller lived by the clothing worn in the illustrations. The main idea of this story was to inform readers of Helen Keller’s life and journey of a blind and deaf individual as it was an autobiography told by third person.
