Author was the Regimental Doctor for the Royal Welch Fusiliers throughout the war. He mentions Robert Graves and Siegfried Sassoon. The history of an British infantry battalion in World War One. Stark in the language of the day, it was of a time when death was constantly all around. The book is in the form of a diary and mostly is of short excerpts. Most are very brief and to the point.
